NATIVE AD FORMATS

LG Native Ads run across the LG TVs (Home Screen Inventory) and are fixed until the screen is reloaded. The viewers can also interact with them, as all types of Native Ads can be clicked to a specified destination (app, deeplink, web, overlay, video, or image). Furthermore, targeting capabilities include ACR, demographic, TV viewing behavior and app usage!

Carousel & Companion

The carousel displays up to 5 cards (image or video) and will auto rotate as long as the user remains on the screen. The rotation will pause upon user interaction.

Videos are clickable and play automatically with no sound. Sound will play when user hovers over video.

Apart from image/video, a companion can be also used. A companion is composed of a static banner of regular 1629×420 carousel size over which a video is overlaid on the left.

Wedge

A vertical image banner that upon user click, the following actions can take place:

  • Visit an App or a Website
  • View a Video (15″ or 30″, 16:9 ratio)
  • View an Image (16:9 ratio, 1920×1080)
  • View an Overlay Screen: the ad unit expands into a full-screen video with a 300×250 banner in the bottom right corner.
Home Launcher

A 300×250 image banner that upon user click, the following actions can take place:

  • Visit an App or a Website
  • View a Video (15″ or 30″, 16:9 ratio)
  • View an Image (16:9 ratio, 1920×1080)
  • View an Overlay Screen: the ad unit expands into a full-screen video with a 300×250 banner in the bottom right corner.
Halo Companion

The Halo Companion ad unit (1840 x 230) is always paired with the Home Launcher ad unit. Click interaction destinations are the same for both, while the click can lead to:

  • Visit an App or Website
  • View a Video (15″ or 30″, 16:9 ratio)
  • View an Image (16:9 ratio, 1920×1080)
Hero

The ad unit can be both display (1354×762) and video (16:9 ratio, 15″ or 30″). The video unit is an auto play video with an overlay text box on the bottom right of the video. When the overlay text box is clicked, the user is taken to the destination.

The overlay CTA text options available are: Click to Launch, More Info, Click to Watch, Click to Install, Rent Now, Buy Now, See More, Watch Now, Learn More, or Sponsored. Note: Overlay text will be translated to the user’s language (TV settings).

Secondary Home Screen

The ad will appear along with the secondary LG Content Store bar when the user is hovering over the LG Content Store icon in the Home Launcher bar and will remain as long as the user is browsing its contents.

The ad unit expands to a 300×250 as the user is browsing the Content Store bar.

The creative must be visually different from any other creatives provided to create a complementary and diverse viewing experience for the user.

Content Store Native Tiles

A 970×250 image banner that upon user click, the following actions can take place:

  • Visit an App or a Website
  • View a Video (15″ or 30″, 16:9 ratio)
  • View an Image (16:9 ratio, 1920×1080)
  • View an Overlay Screen: the ad unit expands into a full-screen video with a 300×250 banner in the bottom right corner.
