2 Travel Marketing Awards for ‘Greater Athens’ international campaign

We’re beyond proud to announce that Acrossmedia241 has been awarded Gold for ‘Best International Campaign’ and Silver for ‘Best Digital Multi-Channel Campaign’ at the Travel Marketing Awards 2025! These awards recognize our work on the ‘Region of Attica: Winter 2024′ campaign — a bold, multi-market initiative designed to promote Greater Athens region as a last-minute winter destination to travelers in the UK, Germany, and Sweden.

A Smart, Data-Led Approach to Travel Marketing

Running from December 2023 through January 2024, the campaign combined creative storytelling with strategic media planning, spanning three highly impactful formats:

Digital Out Of Home (DOOH)

Partnering with Perion (ex Hivestack), we brought the campaign to life across 682 unique venues and 1,212 premium screens, including airports, subways, and train stations. With major media owners like JCDecaux, Clear Channel, and Ocean Outdoor onboard, the campaign reached over 1.3 million impressions across all three markets.

Connected TV (CTV)

Thanks to our collaboration with LG Ad Solutions, we reached over 1 million smart TV devices and achieved 2.27 million impressions across the target markets. With nearly 2 million video starts, our campaign tapped directly into travel-curious households in a high-attention environment.

Rich Media (Web)

We also deployed interactive Brand Stories — rich-media, cross-device ad formats that let users engage with stunning visuals through a “slide-to-reveal” feature. This resulted in over 2.17 million impressions and an average frequency of 1.36 per viewer, with strong engagement across all three markets.

Results That Speak for Themselves

By precisely targeting travel-related audiences with high-quality visual content and strategic placements, the campaign succeeded in boosting awareness of the Greater Athens region as a vibrant and unexpected winter destination. From smart TVs to subway screens, we delivered Attica’s story where it mattered most — and the results clearly resonated.
